The concept of an atelier was born in India and later embraced by Europe, igniting the creativity of renowned fashion houses worldwide. The Aranyani Atelier, located in the vibrant city of Bengaluru, boasts cutting-edge design processes and draws inspiration from nature and Indian traditions. Led by the visionary Founder and Creative Director, Haresh Mirpuri, our team undergoes a three-year apprenticeship alongside masterful leather artisans from Europe's finest fashion and luxury brands. Only after this intensive training do they embark on their journey within the Aranyani Atelier.
Our team is guided by our brand's core essence — blending the finest heritage craftsmanship from India with modern styles to create pure luxury handbags — a mesmerising fusion of authentic traditions and contemporary charm. If this doesn’t lure you into the magic of Aranyani, here are five more reasons to own pure luxury handbags from our Atelier.
Our design principles are inspired by nature and crafted by tradition. At Aranyani, nature has always been a significant guiding force, helping us find harmony amidst creative chaos. In our state-of-the-art atelier, we prioritise this harmony over efficiency. Our pure luxury leather handbags aim to capture the soul of Indian culture, while the artwork adorning them showcases a captivating blend of heritage
and modernity.
In our mesmerising Stone Drops collection, each precious gemstone is skillfully hand-cut and expertly set within elegant rims. Every rim gracefully cradles 50 carats of its corresponding gemstone, showcasing their radiant allure.
In the remarkable Kesuda collection by Aranyani, a harmonious blend of hand-painting and hand-embroidery techniques takes centre stage. This innovative approach has brought together eight distinct embroidery techniques, including the chain stitch, running stitch, kat dana, salli githai, loth, 'spring' stitch, kante (needle) work, and palti taaka (reverse stitch). Over 3500 hand-stitches contribute to the creation of each Kesuda piece, capturing the essence of the flower's natural splendor.
We proudly showcase our expertise in the revered Indian heritage technique of 24-karat gold gilding, a skill now extended to embellish luxurious leather at our Atelier. As an additional option for our esteemed customers, we also offer the personal touch of gilding initials onto selected your next pure luxury handbag.
Our Founder, Mr. Haresh Mirpuri, once embarked on a captivating journey during his travels to Rajasthan, India. Witnessing nature's breathtaking beauty at sunrise, he was mesmerised by prismatic dew drops that shimmered like the jewels of Aranyani, the Goddess of the Forests. Exploring Udaipur, the city of lakes, he found inspiration in the reflections of the sun and the moon on tranquil waters. He also observed the regal love for precious gemstones, cherished for their enhancing qualities and adornment. These experiences birthed the idea for the remarkable 'Stone Drops' collection of pure luxury handbags in the UK.
Every detail of the Stone Drops collection is thoughtfully crafted. The number of gemstones set in the rims aligns with the 'Hemachandra Numbers'; also known as the Fibonacci series. This golden sequence weaves its magic in various aspects of nature, from petal counts to poetry compositions. With utmost care, our highly skilled artisans meticulously set the highest quality gemstones on the rims of our Stone Drops collection.
The charged rims are energised by placing them under the radiant beams of the sun and the full moon, enabling them to pulsate with vibrations as they are being fixed on the handbags.
At Aranyani, we believe that each gemstone possesses its own unique personality. It influences and is influenced by its owner, creating a profound connection. This is why people become deeply attached to their gemstones and consider them as lucky charms. Two identical citrine-set handbags, for instance, become distinct because they reflect the personalities of their owners. The handbags from our Stone Drops collection are not mere accessories; they grow with you, becoming your complementary twin, uniquely meaningful and cherished. That’s why we allow you to personalise your Stone Drops handbags with the gemstones of your calling, subject to availability, of course.
When it comes to leather alternatives that don't involve animal products, there is one popular choice today, commonly known as vegan leather. This synthetic fabric is designed and printed to imitate the look and feel of real leather.
However, it's important to note that vegan leather is essentially a plastic product, consisting of a knitted polyester base coated with PVC or polyurethane. Despite its intention to mimic animal skin, it brings forth a host of environmental issues similar to other fossil-fuel-based synthetics and plastics. In fact, its long-term impact on the environment and ecosystems is even more significant.
At Aranyani, we recognize that leather, regardless of its origin, still involves animal cruelty. That's why we strictly refrain from using exotic leathers. Instead, we repurpose the discarded skins and hides of animals raised for meat and/or milk. We approach this process with deep gratitude towards the animals and honor their sacrifice. Through prayers of love and gratitude, we make a solemn commitment to ensure their sacrifice is not in vain. This commitment is reflected in our bag designs, which are not dictated by fleeting trends or seasons. Inspired by the timeless beauty of nature, our bespoke bags are crafted to withstand the test of time. We aspire for our bags to accompany our customers throughout their lives and be cherished as heirlooms passed down to future generations.
At the core of our philosophy, we believe that, "Only by doing good can one benefit' For many centuries, the tapestry of the Vedic Indian civilization has woven together threads of luxury and art, a testament to its enduring splendour.
